Alex and Dee Wong

We are Alex and Dee Wong. We have a daughter and her name is Iris. Alex grew up in Durham, NC and Dee grew up in Woodstock, GA. We have been married for about 3 years and both work for American Airlines as flight attendants. Alex has attended Plaza for 5 years and Dee has attended Plaza for 3 years.
Mark and Ashia Scott

Hi, we're Mark and Ashia! We're new to Charlotte, having moved here from New York City in 2025. (Go Knicks, Yankees, and Giants!) We've been married for 5 years and met as high school sweethearts. No kids (yet) but a Tomcat named Mr. Pete.
We've been attending Plaza since February 2025 and are so glad we found it on the first stop of our church tour! We feel most comfortable when we bring our authentic selves to church (including weaknesses, struggles and conflicts), and we'll encourage our group members to do the same.
We look forward to learning and growing with you.
Jacob and Polina Hartley

Hi! We're Jacob and Polina Hartley, both Charlotte transplants. Jacob is originally from Burlington, NC and has lived in Charlotte for nearly five years, while Polina is from Hickory, NC and moved here after we got married in 2024. We've both been members at Plaza Church since moving to Charlotte. We love the outdoors, whether it be running, hiking, or any type of sports! Fun fact about us is we are trying to go to at least one National Park a year!
Justin and Katie Ervin
Community Group Meeting Location: East Charlotte
Meeting Day and Time: Mondays at 6:30 PM
We're Justin and Katie, and we're so excited to be leading this group. We've been married since 2021 and have a one-year-old son, Reese, who keeps us on our toes and makes life a lot more fun (and a lot louder!).
We're originally from the Winston-Salem area but have called Charlotte home for the past decade. We've been part of Plaza for about three years now and are so grateful for the community we've found here.
Katie recently stepped away from her role as a librarian to stay home with Reese, while Justin works full-time in tech. As a family, we love slow mornings, early bedtimes, deep conversations, and finding little ways to build rhythms of faith into our everyday life.
We're really looking forward to getting to know everyone, building community, and growing in our faith together this year.
